EPA Headquarters Johnstown Castle

This project involved the construction and fit out of a new two storey passive energy building extension to the EPA HQ building in Wexford along with a substantial refurbishment and alterations to the existing building. A major challenge of the project was that whilst the extension and refurbishment works were on-going the existing EPA building remained fully operational and open to the public.

Waterford Crystal – Manufacturing Facility, Retail Outlet & Visitor Centre

This prestigious 5,000m2 project for Waterford City Council involved the fast track construction of a 2 storey factory and administration building with a “tourist trail” viewing facility and retail store where customers can view the manufacturing process in the factory.

Millennium Business Park Naas

Mythen Construction were employed to Design and Construct two identical 27,000 sq ft office buildings for a Client in Millennium Business Park, in Naas. Both buildings were completed on time to a demanding 8 month programme.

Greenacres Wine Shop, Restaurant & Art Gallery

Greenacres involved the extensive renovation, demolition and new extension of an existing listed building on the main street in Wexford town. The building was converted from a solicitor’s office into a food delicatessen, wine store, restaurant and art gallery.

Wexford Credit Union

Mythen Construction was employed on this prestigious extension to Wexford Credit Union, in Wexford town. As the new building was adjacent to the existing Wexford Credit union, the new extension had to be constructed without causing any disturbance to the operations of the Credit Union.

The Arc Office Development

Mythen Construction were employed on this landmark office development. This 35,000sq.ft. commercial office development was the Winner of the best Architect designed & specified project at the 2009 Icynene annual
awards. This flagship building know as ‘The Arc’ is a complex shape and constructed predominately in timber frame.

Wright Investments

Wright Investments is very prestigious office and apartment development in a tight town centre location. The design was complex and utilized state of the art construction materials including Kalzip curved aluminium roof, French limestone cladding and Schucco curtain walling.
Bank of Ireland, Customs House Quay, Wexford

The works involved demolition of the existing Bank of Ireland on Customs House Quay, Wexford together with a total recladding of the building and complete interior fit-out. The pre-cast concrete external cladding and curtain wall system for the four storey Bank of Ireland building had to be removed and the interior of the entire building was gutted. Mythen’s were then responsible for reconstructing a new external building fabric/façade.
